The O'Sheas

Introducing The O'Shea Family.

This incredible family came into my life six months ago when Colm, the father, became a member of our Movement Centre, Café Move.

Colm is originally from Cork but lives in New York with his American wife Marie, and their beautiful family. Colm is a professor in the Writing department in New York University and was home on a sabbatical.

I will never forget the moment I met him. He was sitting at the end of the bar in our café, he had an expression of awe and of gratitude.

It was almost as if he had just come home. From that day on it was the start of a beautiful friendship.

Colm has blown us away by writing an essay on Café Move, to be published soon. ;-) <3

It has literally changed our lives. To be able to see our place through his eyes - Mind-blowing.

It's crazy how you can get caught up in the daily grind and forget to see the beauty of what is right in front of you.

Thank you Colm for reminding us just how special our place is.

As a Thank you, I wanted to capture Colm and his family while they were still here in Ireland.

They were slightly apprehensive (but excited) as they had never done a photo-shoot before. Once I had reassured them that this was not a shoot, I was simply going to be a part of their family day out. This is what I wanted to capture. I wanted them to enjoy their day and to be themselves.

There is nothing more precious than family interactions, unique looks and ever-changing personalities.

This is something that could never have been captured in a studio. I wanted this to be a magical moment for us all to remember forever.

I can safely say that it was a mission complete.

I am head over heels in love with this family, so much so it has inspired/reassured me that I would like one of my own...one day.

I wanted to share as many of these shots as I could. Thank you Colm and Marie for allowing me to do so.

Hurry back O'Shea's....Cork misses you.

To enjoy good health, to bring happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must discipline and control one’s own mind.
If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.
