Emma and Mackey

I walked into the home of Emma and Micheál on December 15th 2018, expecting the usual wedding morning madness.

Instead, I was met by a relaxed Emma, at home with only her daughter, asleep in bed.

I asked, "Where is everyone else?" She replied "Sure I didn't want a fuss. They're in town, sure we'll see them later. My sister (her bridesmaid) will be here in a while."

That was the general mood of the day. Relaxed, personal and lots of fun.

I have known Emma for almost 20 years, so when she asked me to be the one to capture her wedding day, I, of course, said yes.

The day was perfect. There was no stress or pressure...only outbursts of laughter and moments of love.

Emma & Mackey chose to have a first look before their ceremony, at a cove in front of their home called DunnyCove.

This place meant a lot to them and therefore the moment was made even more special.

It was magical to be able to experience such love. The hardest part was trying not to get too emotional and remember to keep taking photos.

The ceremony and the reception both took place at Fernhill House Hotel in Clonakilty.

It was simply spectacular. I hope the photos do it justice.

Thank you Emma & Micheál for sharing your special day with me.

And so the adventure begins.

Huge Thank you to Alan Carey for being my second shooter/knight in shining armour on the day. I was a very sick lady, so without him, I would have been lost.
