The Lucey Family
"Why don't you start a photography blog?"....sure, what would I write about? I don't know? Photography?
Where do I start? What do I say? How do I say it? Will anyone read it? What will they think? Aaaaaahhhhh
I had to tell myself...Stop caring what people think, stop taking caution in your actions, listen to what you want, do what you want, this is your life, live it. So here it goes!!
When I had made the decision to begin, I knew exactly who and what I wanted to share first.
Presenting the Lucey family.
I first met Emma when I was asked to help her create a special gift for her husband to be, Con.
Emma had envisioned a gift of an album (which we named 'See you at the altar’) full of glamorous images of her.
The gift was given to him on the morning of their wedding. Let's just say it put a smile on his face.
I first met Con on the evening of their wedding reception, which I was honoured to be asked to capture.
We immediately bonded, as I had been a part of creating such a personal, intimate & unique gift.
This was the start of a beautiful relationship between us.
Since their wedding reception, I have captured the growth of what is now, The Lucey Family, and what a special family they are.
A home filled with love, happiness, determination, strength and most of all class.
Emma and Con truly are an inspirational couple. They have inspired me to be a better person, photographer, fiancée and hopefully one day mother.
Our journey together through photography, has been one of great significance, to my career and to my life.
Their belief in me developed and nurtured a belief in myself.
"When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it also helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace." Dalai Lama
I wanted to share with you a few of the most recent shots I took for them.
A collection to celebrate Baby Oscar.
Much love to you Con, Emma, Mila & Baby Oscar.
Thank you for allowing me to share a glimpse into your beautiful world.
